Predictions for FIFA World Cup 2022

FIFA World Cup is going start on 21 November 2022. A lot of hype is created on the topic who’s gonna win the World Cup. There are 3 three matches on opening day between Qatar and Ecuador, Senegal and Netherlands and England and Iran. There are 32 nations participating in the competition. There Six Nations likely to win this year’s World Cup.

1) Brazil- Brazil is the most successful nation in most World Cup by winning 5 World Cup titles and has appeared in all World Cup edition. They recently lost the Copa America against Argentina. The reason they are the favourites because looking at squad they have good attackers , Defenders. They smashed their way to CONMEBAL World Cup qualifiers by winning 14 out of 17 and 3 draws. They haven’t won any World Cup since 2002. This year’s World Cup could be the last for Neymar he mentioned in his recent interview. Tite is Coach for the Brazilian team.

2)Argentina- Argentina is considered to be the best Football Nation Right now in the South America. They won the Copa America and Finalissima against the Euro Cup champions Italy. They have won the World Cup 2 times and Copa America 15 times. This year’s World Cup would the last for Lionel Messi. Lionel Scaloni is the coach for Argentina. Last time Argentina won a world was 1986.

3) France- France are defending champions and won 2018 FIFA World Cup, but right now they don’t look strong because they lost to Switzerland in Euro Cup 2021, they didn’t qualify for UEFA nations league. However they could showcase their talent and can defend the World Cup title. This year’s World Cup would be last for Karim Benzema. Didier Deschamps is the Coach for the team. The team has won the World Cup 2 times.

4) Spain- The Spanish team is youngest team in the tournament and they have much potential than any team. They were the semi finalists in Euro Cup and Finalists in UEFA nations league. Spain has one the World Cup 1 time in 2010. The head coach of Spanish team is Luis Enrique.

5) England- The English team is definitely one are favourites for winning this year’s World Cup after impressive performance in last year’s Euro Cup 2020 after being the runner ups. They had finished 4th in last year’s World Cup. They had only won 1 World Cup in the year 1966. Young guns like Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Bukayo Saka would all be hungry for silverware. The team’s head coach is Gareth Southgate

6) Portugal- This Portuguese Team is very experienced but if you see in my opinion they are not considered as underdogs in any tournament now. Right now they haven’t won any World Cup trophy but their best is that they finished 3rd in 1962 World Cup. This year’s World Cup will be the last for Cristiano Ronaldo. The team’s head coach is Fernando Santos.
